2022
Founded in Luxembourg
Synapse 42 was founded in Luxembourg with one ambition: to offer a different IT consulting model, built on transparency and excellence.
2024
Establishment in Paris
Expansion of our presence in France, strengthening our ability to support major European financial groups.
2025
Launch of Kubrik 21
Creation of a platform dedicated to senior IT consultants, with transparent packages and a compensation model unprecedented in the Luxembourg market
2027
Expansion to Brussels
Opening of an office in Brussels to serve our clients in strategic European markets.

The people driving the project
Axel Poplineau
Co-founder
With a scientific background, Axel began his career as a consultant in strategy for major financial companies on assignments involving digitalization, automation, outsourcing (BPO), and on regulatory topics.
He has worked with well-known players in private banking, fund administration, life insurance, and asset management companies in Luxembourg, Paris, Geneva, and Warsaw.
As an entrepreneur, he has co-founded several start-ups sold to third parties. He is also a director in several international companies having a turnover exceeding 200M€.
Sergio Moro
Co-founder
Sergio is a lawyer by training who has worked in Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg for leading players in the world of finance, including Bank of New York, JP Morgan, Nomura Bank, and Banque de Luxembourg. He is a founding member of two Crédit Agricole Group entities: Fund Channel and Amundi Global Servicing, where he took the role of Executive Director.
Sergio has extensive hands-on experience in the establishment and structuring of financial entities as well as in the global management of end-to-end projects in private banking, custodian banking, asset management, insurance, and pan-European pension funds.
